Built a stone wall around my fireplace.
And yes that is me in my bacon Tshirt in the reflection
Got to finish it yesterday before going to see the X Ambassadors sing about a jeep and other songs.
Edit
Bonus pic of my youngest last night at the concert.

I had to get my feet wet with the stones, haven’t installed any before. I’m gonna do the wall above my staircase with the same stone. This will be the focal point of my house since you will see this wall when you enter the house, and from the dining room on the second floor.
Since I started my massive home renovation in 2014 I learnt a lot.

It smelt like it was legal last night at the concert and fireworks

As it should be.
And will be here, Nationwide in a couple of months.
(Maybe not at the fireworks, young k ids and such, but I digress)

I even started to hear ads on the radio saying that it will only be legal to buy from the Quebec pot stores.....

Well, in Quebec anyway. Every province will handle things whichever way they decide they’re going to do things I believe . None of them will allow you to skirt the taxes by continuing to visit your friendly neighborhood hookup though... Not that I expect them to do anything about it here in BC.
Should be interesting though!

We are planning to do the same thing with our house, we have a red brick central fireplace we want to cover with similar stone. Is that the prefab sheets or stone by stone?

Prefab sheets of stone glued together. Six pieces per box (blue and white box we see in first pic. They cut easily with a tile wet saw with a tile/stone blade. Stuck on with the same motar I used to do all my tiles.
